“More Than Tutoring…
It’s an Academic Expedition!”
The Core Explorers is a Disability-Inclusive,
Sensory-Enriched Tutoring Program that
brings learning to life through
Movement, Exploration, and
Community-Based Experiences.
Founded by an educator
with 22+ years of experience
in behavioral support and inclusive education,
our monthly themed sessions take students
on academic adventures across Tucson.
Building real-world skills in
Math, English Language Arts (ELA)
and Science through play and purpose.
We go Jumping for Math
We go Bowling for Reading
We Explore for Science
We gather at the Review Garden
Designed for learners who learn best through
movement, exploration, and hands-on experiences.
Every session includes an academic Group Mission
designed to bring learning to life through
movement, exploration, and real-world experiences.
Thanks to our specialized onboarding process,
each adventure is tailored to support
your child’s individual learning needs.
At Core Explorers,
We Grow
Confidence,
Curiosity,
and Capability,
One Adventure at a Time.
PLEASE NOTE
The Core Explorers is designed
as a shared learning adventure.
Each explorer attends alongside a parent, guardian,
respite provider, therapist,
caregiver, or trusted adult family member.
This partnership helps ensure safety, comfort, support,
and success while allowing each learner
to participate fully in community-based experiences.
Because the community is our classroom,
the accompanying adult is responsible for providing
any bathroom support the child may need
while participating in the learning experience.
Your presence is an important part
of what helps this program flourish.

Four Explorer Groups
to Choose From

The COMPASS CREW
10:00AM-11:00AM
The Compass Crew is designed
for learners developing greater
independence and life-readiness skills.
For students ages 12–22,
who are enrolled in an education system.
Sessions focus on functional academics,
communication, and self-direction.
Guided by each student’s
unique strengths and needs.
In a supportive, sensory-informed environment,
crew members are encouraged to learn and explore
at their own pace while building
confidence, capability, and community.
The Pioneers
11:30AM-12:30PM
For voyagers mastering early learning
skills through hands-on
exploration and guided support.
Pioneers focus on Kindergarten-level academic and social-emotional development. Designed for children building confidence in key areas
like early literacy, numeracy, communication, and problem-solving. Activities are tailored to meet each learner’s needs, offering an encouraging space to practice and grow through
play-based discovery, movement,
and meaningful connection.
We celebrate each child’s unique path and provide the structure they need to thrive.

1st grade-level academic
and social-emotional growth. Encouraging learners to deepen core skills like reading, writing, math, collaboration, and self-expression. This group is ideal for children ready to take on new challenges in a nurturing environment where exploration leads the way. With sensory-informed strategies and playful learning opportunities, we help each child stretch their abilities and build confidence as independent learners.
